Veterans Gun Range Outing

Last month several veterans from the Wednesday night Fellowship Group went to the gun range to sharpen their skills. It was a good time for all. Iron sharpens iron!

Memorial Day 2016 Care Package Delivery

Saddleback Church called brothers and sisters of Christ to be of service to their fellow man; to show kindness and to be available. A large number of volunteers came to deliver care packages and meet with veterans at the VA Long Beach spinal ward. Many were first time volunteers with the Veterans Ministry. We pray many come back to serve veterans again on August 13, 2016.

200 care packages made last Sunday

The "Mercy" care package outreach this past Sunday was beyond amazing. You each contributed to make this event special for all the volunteers and veterans. With this act of kindness many hospitalized veterans (80+) will be encouraged and a seed will be planted. Our veterans deserve so much and we show them in a small way how much they mean to us. The care packages were packed full of goodies thanks to your generosity.

Making Care Packages for Veterans - Memorial Day

Memorial Day is May 30th. To honor our veterans, we will gather donations and make care packages on May 15. Choose one more items, enough for 80 veterans, for care package donations. We deliver the care packages and visit veterans on May 21.

We meet at 12:45 in the Refinery. We will meet in the downstairs room nearest the cafe. Bring care package donations and a heart to serve. We will pray together and ask God to bless the care packages.

Outreach to Visit Veterans

Thank you to all the volunteers that contributed to the care packages and delivered them to veterans at the VA Long Beach Medical Center today. 

Our next outreach to veterans will be in 3 months sometime during May. As the date approaches we will send out reminders and invitations to join.
